How to Make a Good Tutorial Video?

Tutorial video is often seen in some YouTubers channel. Tutorial video is a good way to attract more audience and reward subscribers. However, a bad tutorial video will be a minus which will make you lose your audience. So it is a key point to make a good tutorial video. Lets learn about these key points of making a good tutorial video.

Write a plan

Before you make a tutorial video, please know that the goal of your video is to help your audience. So, even if you know the procedure you’re going to explain from every conceivable angle, write down the plan of your tutorial. First, it will help you to remain focused and clear. Then, writing it down will help you to think about every possible details and tips you can add.

Keep it short and focused

Detailed explanation is fine, but it isn’t always better with video tutorials if too long. While there is no universal rule regarding video tutorial lengths, generally it’s better to keep your tutorial under 5 minutes. Anything up to 10 minutes is acceptable, provided there is no way to shorten the video or break it in parts. If the video is too long, it will make audience bored and lose their patience.

Make it interesting

Make viewers actually want to watch it, not because you have to but because you want to see the entire video from start to finish. List some interesting examples in your video, viewers will be more interested in it.

Add short text of some key points

When it comes to some key points, adding short text to the video let viewers aware of its importance. In spoken language, complexity is a huge hurdle for listeners/viewers, so always try to keep your text as simple as possible. There are two reasons to keep sentences short and use simple words. A video tutorial is not a book – your audience will listen to and watch the tutorial, not read its script. This means it’s harder for viewers to convey your ideas when you use long sentences and complex words.

Create a call to action
Once viewers are done watching your video, don’t let them just click away. Encourage dialogue by asking them to leave you questionscomments, offering additional resources, providing your contact info, linking to other videos, or requesting they subscribe to your channel.
